                            From the Adopter of BabyCakes

Many years ago I was given a very grim diagnosis of cancer. They said I would not live 6 months. I did the responsible thing, I started liquidating all of my assets. Among them was my beloved horse and all of my tack.
This year I was released from the cancer clinic as someone who never fought this horrible disease. As a celebration of LIFE I decided to really start living again and get another horse! With the horse market being as it is I decided to check out petfinder.com. I had been offered horses in the past which needed a good home but the fit was never what it needed to be. With a click of a mouse "there she was". She was in Indiana and I was in Mississippi.
I sent an email to Sue Whitman explaining what I could offer this horse and asked if what I had to offer could possibly be what this horse needed. The exchange of emails began. It all came together just like God intended it to. I have met so many wonderful people by adopting this old horse and she has a life fitting of a princess.
She lives on a hay farm in Mississippi with the most beautiful pasture and has really taken to becoming a southern belle. We speak the same language she was from the Amish country in Indiana and I was raised in the Amish country in Pa.
The hair loss on the bridge of her nose and the hairs which will never grow back on her eye lids from the harness she wore to work are the scars of a hard past. The scars I wear are scars of a hard past. But this old horse and I we are victors. To never look back from where we have been, as we have such a beautiful future to experience. She is truly my greatest joy. I am so very blessed they picked me.
"She came from the ANGELS to fill my heart with Joy"
